I am a famous marathon runner. You’ve probably heard my name before, even if you’ve never seen my face. I’ve competed at multiple Olympics, and won several gold medals. I’ve also competed in other long-distance competition events, such as the Iron Man challenge and shorter distance events in multiple cities and towns. Broadly speaking, I am the most successful long-distance runner to have ever lived. And I am still the most successful, even though I have been having problems with my feet recently.
I went to visit the best foot and ankle specialist Cheltenham has to get my feet checked out. They’ve been hurting a lot recently when I walk or run, which poses a problem for my training. I am meant to run several kilometres each day to ensure I stay fit enough for all of my competitions, but my feet are so sore that it is making it quite difficult to do that.
The podiatrist has been really helpful and has taken a particular interest in getting me back on track in time for my competition. He seems to understand that this is how I make my income, and that any deviation from my training is costing me thousands of dollars each week.
After doing some exercises and inspections of my feet, the podiatrist said I likely have one of the most common foot conditions, plantar fasciitis. Cheltenham podiatrists tend to see this foot condition a lot since it is so common, which is good news for me because it means it should be easy to fix. I’m hoping that I’ll get most of the work done over the next couple of weeks, which will give me plenty of time to get back into my training routine ahead of my next competition. Becoming the world’s best distance runner takes a lot of work, and it’s the kind of work that most people underestimate. I can’t wait to get back into training and spending hours each day running with my teammates.
