My First Clothes

It’s part three of my AMA, which means I guess it’s time to start getting into the nitty-gritty details. I suppose if you’re still here, you are probably already aware of who I am and what my business is, but in the event that you are not, let me explain.

I founded a luxury designer clothing company at the age of seventeen, and it is now worth several billion dollars. Although much of my success has been due to the hard work of both myself and all of my employees, I also must give credit where credit is due: a small video production company in Melbourne.

Melbourne was where I grew up, and it was where my company was founded, so when I went looking for small companies to outsource small sections of work to, I wanted to keep it local. In 2012 I discovered this small video agency specialising in animation, and I was instantly taken by their work.

To this day, I have never seen a portfolio so impressive. It was filled with clients from all different industries, but what drew me in was that they had worked with many clothing companies in the past. I suppose at the time I didn’t think that a 2D animation company for hire would have much to do with marketing fashion, however I was pleasantly surprised to discover I was wrong. As it turned out, using this company was one of the best decisions of my whole career. They changed the entire trajectory of my brand from a simple clothing company, to a leader in the industry. I was called a trailblazer after my first advertisement with them aired. But I’ll have more on that in the next part of this AMA.

For those wondering, the very first item of clothing I released under my brand name was a pair of pants. Unlike other generic pants, they were designed to actually fit properly. This line of pants remains a bestseller on my brand’s online store today.
